Why I'm Doing This

I've been helping people buy and sell homes in Central Alberta for a while now, and here's what I keep coming back to: a house is never just a house. It's the backyard your kids grow up in, the street where you'll actually know your neighbors, the town you build your life in. That's a big decision, and you deserve better than square footage and staged photos.

So that's what this blog is. Real neighborhood info, honest takes on what different areas are actually like to live in, market updates that don't require a real estate license to understand, and useful stuff for whatever stage you're at, whether that's just starting to look or already deep in the process.

How I Actually Work

Here's the thing about buying a house: you're going to fall in love with the pretty details. That's normal, that's fun, that's part of the process. My job is to be looking for the problems while you're doing that. Before you put in an offer, I want you to actually understand the neighborhood, not just the house. I want you to love where you live. I also want you to feel safe there. You shouldn't have to pick one.

You can call me with questions, with worries, or just to talk something through, from your first showing all the way to closing. No handoffs to someone else on a "team." And when it's time to negotiate, whether you're buying your first place or selling one you've loved for years, I'm going to fight for the best outcome for you.

A Bit of My Story

Before real estate, I was a Licensed Practical Nurse. That background shapes how I work more than people expect. Nursing teaches you to pay attention, to ask questions people don't think to ask themselves, and to actually care about how things turn out, not just get through the task in front of you. I brought all of that with me. This isn't a job I clock out of.

Central Alberta, in Case You're Wondering

I get to work in some genuinely good communities. Red Deer gives you real city amenities without the overwhelm. Penhold and Innisfail still have that small-town feel where people know each other. Lacombe mixes historic charm with a community that's actually growing. Each one has its own personality, and figuring out which fits you is a big part of what I do.

Down the road, I'll get into the details here: school catchments, commute times, local businesses worth knowing, things to do depending on the season, the stuff you'd only know from actually living here. Because I do.
